How we got here

Our Story

Some say it was love at first sight — but if you ask Dan, Allison was far too busy working to notice him the day they met at a local news station in Panama City Beach. Luckily, fate had other plans. As they worked together, friendship quickly turned into something more, and before long, a first date over cinnamon rolls became the start of their forever.

Despite coming from different worlds — a New Jersey race car driver and a Kentucky-loving girl — they've built a life full of adventure together. Allison has embraced cheering for all things Philly sports and can now happily spend weekends watching every kind of racing with Dan. Along the way, they've traveled the world together, making memories from Spain to England.

Their greatest adventure came in Barcelona, where Dan proposed in front of a beautiful castle overlooking the city. Of course, it wouldn't be their story without a little detour first — after accidentally leading them to the wrong location, they ended up hiking down a mountain before finally arriving at the perfect spot.

Through every twist, turn, and adventure, one thing has always been clear: they were meant to find each other. Now they can't wait to celebrate the beginning of their next chapter with the people they love most.

Getting here & staying

Travel & Lodging

Where to stay

Hilton Vacation Club Bayside ResortClosest

4114 Jan Cooley Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32408

On the Bay Point property itself — the shortest possible trip to and from the ceremony. Formerly the Sheraton Bay Point Resort, so older links and reviews may still use that name.

Marriott's Legends Edge at Bay Point

4000 Marriott Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32408

Villa-style units inside Bay Point. A good option for families or anyone staying several nights.

Holiday Inn Club Vacations at Bay Point Resort

4100 Marriott Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32408

Also on the Bay Point property, typically the most budget-friendly of the three.

Flying in

Northwest Florida Beaches International (ECP)

Roughly a 30–40 minute drive to Bay Point

The closest airport by far. Nonstop service on Southwest (Baltimore, Houston-Hobby, Nashville, Orlando), Delta (Atlanta), American (Charlotte, Dallas/Fort Worth), and United Express (Houston, plus seasonal Chicago and Denver). Rental cars are on site; rideshare coverage is thinner here than in a big city, so a rental is the safer bet.

Other options

If ECP fares are steep

Destin–Fort Walton Beach (VPS) and Tallahassee (TLH) are both roughly a 1.5–2 hour drive. Pensacola (PNS) is farther still. Check ECP first — the extra drive rarely pays for itself.

While you're here

St. Andrews State Park

Minutes from Bay Point

Beaches, jetties, and boardwalk trails on the eastern end of the beach. The shuttle to Shell Island leaves from here.

Pier Park

West end of Panama City Beach

Open-air shopping, restaurants, and the pier. The default answer for an afternoon with nothing planned.

The beach in December

Quiet season

Too cold for most people to swim, and completely empty — which is the best possible version of it. Bring a jacket and go at sunset.

Questions

What should I wear?

Semi-formal. Suits or sport coats, cocktail dresses or dressy separates. The venue has indoor and outdoor space and early December evenings on the coast run cool — highs are usually in the low 60s and it drops into the 40s after dark. Bring a layer you don't mind being photographed in.

Can I bring a guest or my kids?

The envelope you recieved your invitation in is addressed to the guests invited to the ceremony and reception. Since this is a small wedding, we have only purchased enough food for those on our list.

Where do I park?

A large parking lot is available across from the Golf Course clubhouse just a few feet away from the venue.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony will be outdoors by the lake along the 18th hole of the golf course. The reception will be indoors in the barn just behind the ceremony. Although it is Florida, December can be a cold time here. Average high temperatures around our wedding day are typically in the upper 60s, and the nights can be as cool as the 40s.

What time should I arrive?

We recommend you plan to arrive at or before 3:30 PM. Plan to be seated by 3:45PM. The ceremony starts promptly at 4:00PM.

Are there dietary options?

Yes — the RSVP form asks about dietary restrictions and allergies. Tell us there and we'll pass it to the caterer.
